Inspector highlights
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, the manager changed how the nursery is organised for children aged from two-years-old to four-years-old, which had a positive impact on children's development and staff's ability to focus on key children's learning needs.
- All staff have a secure understanding of how children learn and develop, and they break down what children need to know and do to achieve their next step in learning.
- The manager has improved her knowledge of reporting procedures where concerns are raised about the welfare of a child and works closely with other agencies to increase the chances of positive outcomes for children.

Children who need more support to manage their emotions occasionally struggle when staff do not organise themselves to be on hand to help. A small number of times, children's learning is disrupted because staff do not make sure that they are available to support children who struggle to manage their emotions.
Outdoor space
Staff use imaginative ways to develop children's experience of the wider world. Alongside trips to places such as a farm, they walk in the local area, exploring the environment around them. Staff use the experiences to introduce new knowledge to children.

The communication between staff and parents is great, always sharing information and pictures of what the children get up to and are always doing something different, I think it's great they get out for walks around the village and to the park regular. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, my daughter has been since she was 10 months and the staff are fantastic at keeping her in her routine, supporting any changes and developments along the way. My daughter has settled here amazing, great environment great staff.

Excellent nursery. I moved my children here after having a bad experience at one of the Kids Planet nurseries and I'm so glad I did. They're happy and well looked after, I get great feedback from the staff, lots of updates on their app and the staff are really helpful when I'm not sure how to help my kids learn or do things at home. Fabulous place all in all!

Our little boy has been going to this nursery for 3 months now and we can honestly say it is amazing! The girls in his room are wonderful, kind, caring, fun and friendly! He loves it! Super responsive to our crazy shift patterns and very flexible. We highly recommend Wingerworth wonder years!

Wingerworth Wonder Years is a fantastic nursery. It's like an extended family, the staff are so attentive and caring. My son is given the cance to explore both the outdoors and lots of indoor activities that I couldn't possible provide at home. They have also been so flexible with fitting around my work patterns. I wouldn't want my son to go anywhere else. Would definitely recommend them.
