About this day nursery

Winshill Childcare, located in Burton-On-Trent, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years. Open Monday to Friday from 7am to 5:30pm, all-year round, the nursery prides itself on welcoming children warmly, with staff greeting them with smiles and comfort, particularly for new babies.

The curriculum places a strong emphasis on communication development, with staff engaging children in conversations, naming items during play, and asking questions to encourage thinking skills and language acquisition. A love for books is fostered through regular story reading sessions where children discuss characters and events.

Outdoor learning is a significant part of the daily routine, offering children opportunities for physical activity and cooperative play, such as stacking coloured rings and using wheeled vehicles. The nursery, established in February 2020, operates from a converted house, fostering a homely atmosphere for the children in its care.

This Nursery is by far the best nursery in Winshill, they have supported both our girls to grow! Our oldest and youngest both attended for a long period of time, and I have no faults at all. Staff are super friendly, the activities are spot on. Not one negative thing to say! Thank you for the amazing work you do, and for how happy both our girls have been attending. Eva and Everlyn will miss you lots!

Our daughter (14 months) was here over the summer. The staff are really helpful, they looked after her really well. They have an app they update with what's been eaten, nappy changes etc which is great info to have. Like any new place it took a while for our little one to settle in, they suggested a support teddy which was a great idea! It worked really well & the teddy was always returned at the end of the day. Thank you so much!
