Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported and show that they are very happy and settled here. Key persons have supportive and caring relationships with all their children, including children with SEND. This helps to give children the confidence to try new things and progress in their learning.
Outside, children explore the mud kitchen area and use their skills in imaginative play and creativity to produce mud pies and drinks. The outdoor area is a particular strength and children have vast opportunities to develop their learning in this area.
We honestly couldn’t be happier with the nursery our 9-month-old daughter has just started attending. As first-time parents, we were incredibly nervous about sending her to nursery. It’s such a big step, especially when they’re so little. But from day one, the whole team has supported both me and my wife 100%. They’ve reassured us, answered every question (no matter how small), and made the entire transition feel smooth and positive. One of the things we loved when we first visited was that they don’t have huge numbers of children. When we looked around, every child was getting real attention and care — and we’re happy to say that’s exactly what we still see at every drop-off and pick-up. The room our baby girl is in is absolutely lovely — calm, welcoming, and clearly designed with the children in mind. In such a short space of time, she’s already experienced so much. She’s been out for walks, had trips in the nursery bus (Paddington!) to the library and the park, and has even done baking — something we never imagined a nursery would offer for babies her age. It’s amazing to see how much thought and effort goes into giving them meaningful experiences. The app they use to keep us updated throughout the day is fantastic. We receive regular updates, which gives us so much reassurance and makes us feel connected to her day while we’re at work. We also want to mention the wider team — from the staff in the rooms to the office and managers. They’ve taken the time to clearly explain policies, procedures, and especially the funding process (which, as many parents will know, can be incredibly confusing!). Thanks to them, we now fully understand how it all works. They’ve been transparent, patient, and thorough — and we truly appreciate it. We completely understand the value of what they provide and have no issue paying for a service that goes well above and beyond the basics. We’ll admit it — we’re particular and picky parents, and not ashamed of it! But this nursery has blown us away. We’ve read their vision, and it truly aligns with everything we want for our daughter. We feel confident, reassured, and excited to be part of the nursery family for the years ahead, right up until our little girl starts school. Thank you for everything you do — you really are fantastic.
Read on GoogleI absolutely love Wishing Tree Nursery and all the staff that work there. Especially Sally, Stephen, Laura and Rachel. They have always treated me and my daughters like family and they always go above and beyond for any requests that I go to them with. My eldest daughter who's 10 now went here until primary school and my youngest who's 2 goes here!! I would never choose a different nursery for my daughters. My youngest loves going here, she does lots of different activities and games everyday. I'm always kept up to date about what my daughter has been doing via hand-off at the door and by the app the nursery uses to add pictures of the activities they have been doing that day. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!!
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending Wishing Tree nursery for several years now and I could not be happier with the service they offer. They have excellent facilities including a wonderful garden area and beautiful in door rooms. They also take the children on regular trips to the woods, canal and park as well as the occasional trip to local farms. I have been particularly impressed by the balance between play and learning. My sons days at the nursery really support his academic development but are also a lot of fun!! It seems no two days are the same! The staff, management and owners are all fantastic people very caring and helpful, they will always go that extra mile. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wishing Tree nursery to other parents.
Read on GoogleMy little boy went to this nursery. What a magical time he had and all the activities he has joined in with have been amazing his favourite activity was watching the chicks hatching from the eggs. Thank you for taking such great care of my little man and helping him grow and develop into the little boy he his today
Read on GoogleI feel morally obligated to share my dreadful experience with Wishing Tree Nursery. Let's start with the basics: jam sandwiches. Yes, that's right, the culinary masterpiece offered as a staple meal for our children. While I understand the need for simplicity, the repeated appearance of this lackluster option reflects a blatant disregard for nutritional variety. Now, let's delve into the abyss of abysmal communication. Attempting to extract pertinent information from the management is akin to deciphering hieroglyphics blindfolded. Important inquiries are met with shrugged shoulders and vacant stares, leaving parents stranded in a sea of uncertainty. But wait, there's more! Brace yourself for the egregious display of dishonesty and financial exploitation. Wishing Tree operates on a deceitful scheme, penalizing parents utilizing funded childcare with exorbitant charges. The sheer audacity to charge £10.34 for an hour of funded childcare while offering the same service privately for £6.50 reeks of exploitation and deceit. And let's not forget the cherry on top of this calamitous cake: management incompetence. Questions are met with blank stares, and challenges are swiftly dismissed without so much as a hint of acknowledgment. It's as if they've mastered the art of evading accountability, preferring to bury their heads in the sand rather than address glaring issues. In conclusion, Wishing Tree is a veritable minefield of incompetence, deception, and apathy. Parents, beware: entrusting your child to this establishment is akin to playing Russian roulette with their well-being. Steer clear, lest you fall victim to their deceitful practices and culinary mediocrity.
