Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) works closely with parents and other professionals to enable children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to make good progress in their learning. The manager supports the SENCo to target her work with the children who would benefit most. The SENCo uses her experience and knowledge to act quickly and puts appropriate support in place.
Once the story has finished, staff hide number cards around the garden. Children are excited to search the garden. The building and garden area is secure and well maintained.
Our son started at Wollaton House Day Nursery when he was just 10 months old, and now at two years old, he has absolutely thrived in their care. The dedication and warmth of the staff are truly unmatched, making it the best decision we could have made for him. One of the things we love most is the independent nature of the nursery and their efficient drop-off-at-the-door policy, which gives us peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. The varied food menu is fantastic, and he enjoys every meal. It’s such a comfort to know he is eating well while at nursery. Every morning, he is excited to be dropped off, and every evening, he comes home happy, which speaks volumes about the environment the team has created. He has moved through three different rooms so far, and in each one, the staff have been nothing short of incredible—caring, loving, and exactly what you would hope for in an independent nursery. A special thank you to Tracey and the entire team, who have been so supportive, especially during some of the tougher times we have faced. Their kindness and commitment to our son’s happiness and development mean the world to us. We will always be grateful for everything they have done and continue to do. If you’re looking for a nursery where your child will be nurtured, supported, and truly cared for, I cannot recommend Wollaton House Day Nursery highly enough. Thank you all so much!
Read on GoogleI cannot speak more highly of this nursery. Both my boys attended the nursery, 7 years apart and the staff remained the same!! Wollaton House provides a warm, caring and safe environment for the children to grow and learn. The staff are genuinely caring, engaging and supportive of both the children and parents. When I was a first time mum, I truly felt supported and looked after. The nursery has a good relationship with the local schools which makes transition to school so much easier. My boys still talk about their nursery days, the food, the songs, the staff .. and they are now 7 and 14 years old.
Read on GoogleThis Nursery provides a fantastic, caring environment for the children. The staff are excellent: supportive, engaged, professional, with a genuine interest in the individual children. There is a good mix of guided learning, free play, and indoor and outdoor activities. My eldest was really well prepared for the transition to school and I’m confident my youngest will be the same when he leaves this summer.
