Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator works with staff to identify children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and who therefore may need additional support. They work with parents and other professionals to ensure that an appropriate support plan is in place. This means that relevant learning is provided.
Staff consistently promote children's physical development through a range of experiences to develop small-muscle strength and large motor skills. For example, children take part in yoga sessions where they stretch and balance. They move to music, where they hop and jump.
Staff provide good support to children who speak English as an additional language. Children who did not speak English prior to starting the nursery, are now beginning to speak short sentences in English to communicate their preferences. For instance, they say which activities they enjoy and would like to take part in.
My daughter loves her nursery days. All the staff are so friendly and caring towards the children. Busy Bees has such a great atmosphere and culture. I’m so pleased with how my daughter is developing, after only two days a week at nursery she gains so much confidence and is progressing well with speech and basic skills all thanks to the great support of her key workers and their team. I can’t recommend it enough!
Read on GoogleMy little boy has been attending since he was nine months old during Covid. I'm so happy to have found a nursery that nurtures and encourages development in all of the children. My son has been attending since he was nine months old during Covid. I'm so happy to have found a nursery nurtures and encourages development in children. My little boy always comes home with a smile on his face and is excited to tell us what he has been up to. Since being a baby, he's made wonderful relationships with multiple members of staff. Ashleigh in the preschool room is incredible and always has time to talk about what's going on in the nursery that day. My little boy also had a very close bond with Gemma when he was in toddlers, and still loves to talk to her now about all sorts of things, having not been in toddlers for almost a year now! There are so many other amazing staff members too, I could list them all but I'd be here a while! It's very easy to talk to any members of staff about any issues or questions you have, and they're always happy to help. Communication with parents is done via the monthly newsletter, as well as the text messaging service, which are really helpful for reminders or information. Overall I would recommend Busy Bees to anyone considering nursery settings!
Read on GoogleWe have been with Busy Bees for two and a half years now and have been impressed with the staff. When we looked around we loved the big gardens and that each age group has its own outdoor space and the children spend a lot of time outside. The rooms are also nice and spacious and well laid out with a lot of toys and activities. Between our two sons we have met a lot of staff and everyone has always been very professional and friendly. The food is also good and both our sons eat well at nursery and are less fussy than at home! They are always happy when we collect them. They have coped with Covid very well and we have admired the team for what they have had to do during such a difficult time. Understandably we haven’t been able to go inside the nursery for some time but they regularly add photos of activities the boys are doing to the app which we really appreciate. An assessment of the children is written every few months and Busy Bees have been helpful in developing new skills. It’s always possible to phone up for a catch up between reviews if needed. As well as the Parentzone app there is also the Up app which has tips, recipes and ideas for activities at home. They offer a good range of activities for the children and the preschool room has a pet snail for the children to learn to care for which we love. We would recommend Busy Bees in Wollaton.
Read on GoogleApril 2019: Our 1 year old daughter goes here and she has a great time. They're really friendly and happy to accommodate requests. Update: 3 years later and still easily 5 stars. The staff did an amazing job through the lockdown and beyond. Our daughter's abilities and confidence have gone from strength to strength. The only thing I'd like to see more of are photos and development updates on the app - the ones we do get are great.
Read on GoogleMy son and daughter started going to busybees nursery during the lockdown period. My daughter is 3 yrs old & my son is 2 yrs old. They both love it & have settled in straight away. Especially my 2 yr old son, I've seen a massive improvement with my him & I have now decided to keep them both with busybees nursery instead of sending them back to their old nursery.
