What it's like
The manager has a clear vision for an ambitious curriculum, including for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Improvements to the learning environment, such as designated playrooms, have led to children being happier, more settled and confident in smaller groups. The special educational needs coordinator works closely with staff to manage challenging behaviour by creating and adapting individual learning plans.

Inclusion & environment
The manager has clear intent for staff to provide children with an ambitious curriculum, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The special educational needs coordinator works well with staff to manage and prevent any challenging behaviour. For instance, she creates, reviews and adapts individual learning plans that are shared with staff, parents and other agencies. Staff use the learning plans well to engage children in activities and help them develop the skills they need for the future. Staff consistently and skilfully support children to understand and manage their emotions and behaviour, including children with SEND.
Children develop good physical skills, for instance while learning to balance on low level stepping stones in the garden. Staff use children's enthusiasm during these activities to extend their mathematical development. Children eagerly engage in role play. They develop their imagination, for instance, as they use utensils and saucepans in an outdoor mud kitchen. Children confidently and independently explore the good range of indoor and outdoor activities. Children learn to put on their coats and waterproof boots before playing outdoors.
My son has been attending this nursery for six months, and he absolutely loves it. He’s been to a few nurseries before, but this is the first one where he’s never cried walking in—he’s always happy and excited to start his day. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and really take the time to get to know each child. I appreciate the clear communication and the lovely updates about his day. Since joining, he’s grown in confidence and developed so many new skills. Overall, I’m very happy with the care he receives, and I’m grateful to the team for creating such a positive and supportive environment.
Read on GoogleI saw every nursery in a 10 mile radius and settled on Wonderbloom as it felt the right fit for our family. My baby has just started and the staff have been absolutely incredible. They have not only taken excellent care of my son, but made us as parents feel supported and considered. I was so apprehensive about sending him to nursery and miss him terribly and there have been lots of tears on my end, but the staff have been compassionate and understanding of how hard it is for us parents too and knowing that my baby is being so well looked after and entertained (and getting all the cuddles he could ask for) makes me feel so much better. Hannah the hedgehogs room manager is amazing and does such a good job of keeping me in the loop and truly understanding my sons needs and likes. my son jumps into Hanifahs arms when he sees her (which he doesn’t do with most family members) so I think that says it all about how loving she has been with him already. And of course the operations manager, Jay, who is amazing and so considered and passionate about how Wonderbloom is managed. I was particularly captured by the ethos and compassion for all types of children. Where diversity is not only accepted but celebrated. I couldn’t be happier with our decision and feel so much more confident about going back to work now. I would recommend Wonderbloom to anyone looking for a nursery.
Read on GoogleMy little one was at Wonderbloom for almost 3 years. We love the Montessori model and also the inclusion of forest school. My little one has grown in his time here, made amazing friends and secure bonds with his teachers. The small class sizes and freeflow in the rooms is great. We will miss our Wonderbloom family x A massive thank-you to Malaika, Kathryn & Chelsea for all your nurture. And of course Ella, Jay & Nisirah. Steph and all the rest of the team thank you for everything
Read on GoogleWonderbloom has been a true blessing for our son. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was the right place. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children. The nursery is clean, safe, and thoughtfully run, which gives us real peace of mind. The attention to detail — from healthy meals to creative activities — is impressive. What really sets this nursery apart from others is the excellent communication. We’re always kept in the loop about our son’s day and development, which makes us feel part of his journey. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. It’s not just childcare — it’s a place where our son is nurtured, supported, and encouraged to explore. We highly recommend it to any parent looking for the right nursery.
Read on GoogleMy daughter attended Wonderbloom Nursery in Sheerwater and left within the last six months. We had such a positive experience there. The staff are truly amazing – so caring, kind, and supportive. As a family with a daughter who has autism and an EHCP, we were incredibly grateful for the inclusive and nurturing environment they created. They went above and beyond to make sure she felt supported and included every day. We’ll always be thankful for everything they did for us as a family. Highly recommend.
