About this day nursery

30pm. Woodland Nursery welcomes children aged 0-5 years.

The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 24th October 2023. Children eagerly and happily separate from their parents upon arrival, with staff warmly welcoming parents into the base rooms to share detailed handovers and important updates.

This fosters close bonds, helping children feel happy, safe, and secure. The dedicated staff have high expectations for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

They cultivate an environment where children learn to be kind, share, and respect each other and their surroundings. The curriculum is broad and interesting, covering the seven areas of learning, and is designed to build on what children already know.

Staff effectively support bilingual children with new words in different languages, promoting critical thinking and expanding vocabulary. Woodland Nursery nurtures a love for books, with staff acting as animated storytellers, using songs and rhymes to encourage language development.

Outside, older children particularly enjoy stomping around the garden, engaging in imaginative play such as a pretend lion hunt. The well-established key-person system ensures staff quickly get to know each child and their individual needs, adapting key persons if a child forms a closer bond with a different staff member.

A buddy key-person system means two staff members are always familiar with each child's development.

As a parent who's child attends this nursery, I cannot fault their service and dedication to my child and the other children in their care. The nursery is wonderful, facilities laid out in such a way that a child can always maximise their experience there with constant access to the outdoors. My child has a lot of allergies and their chef has always been fantastic about this. My daughter loves coming to nursery every day and I appreciate getting live updates, photos and communication throughout the day with their app! Thank you

Applied for this Nursery in December 2015 and have been following up to check the status. Astonishingly today when I called them, they said they did not have my details (registration form) hence cant offer place. Can you imagine the blunt response after 2.5 years of follow up. I would rather not chose their service of careless people and management. God knows how they treat children over there.
