Parents speak very highly of the setting and are extremely happy with the support they receive.
They make special reference to the support the nursery gives to families and the community through local food banks and oral health bags.
Inclusion & environment
A key strength of the setting is the support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) goes to great lengths in her efforts to remove barriers to learning. Intervention plans are monitored with rigour, and targets are shared with all staff and reviewed consistently. Partnership working is exemplary.
Children have access to a selection of exciting outdoor and indoor activities where they challenge themselves physically, exploring the different ways their bodies move. Children work together to carry large pumpkins from one area of the garden to another. They are keen to discover what they can do with natural materials in the mud kitchen.
My daughter has attended at this nursery for 3 years now, she is always so happy to come in to the settings! We have always had a lovely experience with the staff team! They’re very friendly, caring and supportive. My child has learned so much during this time with them! Would definitely recommend to everyone! The nursery looks so nice and clean.. and the outside area looks great too. I’m so grateful for this lovely team. Xx
Read on GoogleSigned up our baby months in advance based on good reviews however after a couple of settling in sessions we quickly realised it wasn’t for us. I felt our baby didn’t get much care during her few hours there when she needed it most when getting used to the place. I even got a reply that they didn’t have time when I offered to stay with her for a bit longer to help her settle in. We found another nursery and she’s been so much better there. Also Woodlands is not very flexible with methods of payment, deposit etc which I thought might be a standard but turns out other nurseries are much better with that too!
Read on GoogleI only have praise for Woodlands. All staff are fantastic and do so many great activities every day with our little boy who loves going to nursery. The nursery also organises all sorts of useful things for parents like first aid courses, sleep clinics etc. They make a real effort to teach kids about all the different cultures of the children there which is great. Woodlands is an outstanding nursery and I’ll be send my second child here too.
Read on GoogleCouldnt recommend highly enough. Cared for both my children to the highest standards. My eldest loved every day at nursery and was so well cared for. The nursery cared for him from being a baby till he went to school, which they prepared him for so well. Didn't even think twice about enrolling my youngest based on our previous experience and he too is loving every minute. Great staff, great extra curricular activities and a great food menu. Thanks everyone at Woodlands.
