Daily routines are well-established and reinforced through songs, contributing to a calm and predictable environment. The curriculum is built around flexible topics, adapting to children's interests to support their development across all learning areas, both indoors and outdoors.
This approach encourages positive attitudes towards learning, as children are eager to participate in enjoyable activities, such as developing fine motor skills through painting with sweetcorn or counting bubbles to build number knowledge. The nursery places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, utilising engaging methods like reading, singing, and narrating play, as well as using target words on flower templates to expand vocabulary.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive very good support. Staff carefully observe children to identify any learning or development needs, and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) works with specialist professionals to create individual support plans, ensuring children get the help they need to bridge learning gaps.
