Areas to develop

  • 1improve children's opportunities to listen and concentrate without distraction during adult-led activities

The YMCA is an amazing place to live, especially for working professionals. The facilities are excellent, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the sense of community makes it feel like a home away from home. A special mention to Tracy and Leanne, who are absolutely amazing! They are incredibly supportive, approachable, and always ready to assist with any concerns. Their kindness and professionalism truly enhance the living experience. I will deeply miss living at the YMCA and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable, well-managed accommodation. It has been a truly memorable experience!

Moved my son to YMCA after a bad experience with his previous nursery, best decision ever. He became more confident and happy after moving here. From management to key workers, everyone has a genuine interest in the wellbeing and development of the children. My son had such a good bond with his keyworker Ty, and all the staff went above and beyond for the kids. Nobody ever seemed to be very happy at his previous nursery, but every morning here you're greeted with a smile. Keway is an absolute delight and just radiates the most wonderful energy you can imagine & Jodie manages and runs the nursery smoothly, ensuring most issues are dealt with promptly and in the best interests of the children & parents. My son has left now to start school but big thanks to YMCA for making my sons last year of nursery an exceptional one. Forever greatful for the good care you took of my baby.

Firstly that last few reviews are from staff and their partners…..biased. Our daughter used to attend this nursery and it’s unorganised chaos. Apps never updated properly, the staff don’t listen to when your child needs a nap and just put them all down at the same time. While my daughter was there I sent in 2 different teet sizes for her bottles and you would assume they would change them for her. No, when she left they handed me back her bottle with the same teet as when she started so who knows what they did with the other ones. The phone line hardly works. There are a few members of staff who seem genuine but the rest are apprentices who to me seem like they can’t be bothered. The children in the baby room barley get to go outside. Our child left in May and we accidentally left our direct debit active and 5 months later still don’t have our refund which is funny because if parents are late paying they stand in the reception with a card machine!
