I sent my daughter to the preschool here. During my visit, everything seemed great apart from the fact there was no teacher. When my daughter started, there was still no preschool teacher. While my daughter appeared to enjoy herself, I felt there was no significant learning gained at preschool. And they would benefit from a teacher. While I accept play is good for children, they should be teaching them things at preschool. Sometimes when I would be pick up my daughter, no one would speak to me about her time there (leaving me feeling ignored). Her play school lead was nice but I struggled to believe some of what she was saying about my daughter’s knowledge especially on numbers. I also felt preschool staff were making out like my daughter only played with 1 girl when in reality she’s very sociable and plays with all. It kinda seemed like they were just segregating her with that girl rather than encouraging her to get involved with everyone. It’s hard these days to find a great preschool. And I think Apley little pioneers has great facilities, but I just think there should be more focus on learning and more parental engagement. Some of the preschool staff used to just ignore me when I walked in to pick my daughter up. This doesn’t really create confidence between the two parties. The manager was lovely though.

We are so so pleased we chose to send our 13 month old to Little Pioneers when the time came for me to go back to work after maternity leave. He has settled in amazingly well, we have no tears about nursery, he runs down the corridor to his room every nursery day & within a matter of days he was running up to his key worker, Jess, on arrival to give her a hug. Jess has clearly spent time understanding what makes him ‘him’ from the observations she’s made & has built such a strong bond with him already. It gives me so much comfort to know he’s spending the time away from me with someone who’s so caring, spending time to understand him, his quirks & who he is. Jess has also been great at working with us to keep his routine & understands how much nap changes can have! Thank you so much Little Pioneers for making my return to work as stress free as possible. My only wish was that you had been around locally sooner so my eldest could’ve had as much of a positive nursery life!

We in love with this Nursery. Amazing place, my son loves it. He improves diffrent skills very quick love that all notifications, updates, photoes are on the app, so easy to check and be updated. All workers are very kin, lovely and supportive. Education is fun and productive. Honestly Best Team i could wish for my child to be looked after. They also rated perfect 5 for food Hygiene. Huge Thanks to each person. If you looking for best experience at Nursery I would highly recomend to book a trial at Little Pioneers

My child had a place for 9 months with a starting date. Just to recieve an email out of the blue saying he no longer has a place.

When I came to visit I was told there were no spaces for next year and the waiting list was already full, since then I’ve seen an advertisement for spaces. The woman on your front desk at the time was rude. A few of the other mums that have also asked about waiting lists have experienced the same. It’s a shame because we all live in the area. I will say I know one of your staff members who looked after my older child before at a previous nursery and she is a valued part of your team. I wish your receptionist at the time would have just said I’m sorry at this moment in time we have no availability however if you put your name and number on the waiting list we can see how it progresses. Instead she was quite rude. I’ve now gone elsewhere to another nursery who were very accommodating and happy to receive my child for the following year.
