About this day nursery

197 Early Years Nursery, established in May 1993, originally took its name from its first location at 197 Richmond Road in Kingston upon Thames. After becoming a well-known establishment, the nursery retained its original name when it moved to larger premises in February 2001.

Now operating from two locations on Park Road in Kingston Upon Thames, the nursery caters to a significant number of children, with the main setting accommodating up to 89 children and the newer setting able to host up to 50. The nursery is committed to providing a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where each child can develop to their full potential, fostering a positive self-image and confidence.

They aim to collaborate closely with parents to ensure consistency in care and to equip children with fundamental early years skills, making the transition to school a seamless and enjoyable experience. Pricing & funding

Fees cover meals for stretched offer schedules, while fully funded 38-week places ask for voluntary meal contributions or parent-provided packed lunches. Invoicing for meals is termly. Extra paid hours require a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable deposit, which are waived for fully funded places.

Good to know
