Our son attended 1-to-1 tuition with the hope that he would receive tailored support and regular feedback. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. I was only informed two weeks before the SATs that he had scored poorly on a mock English test. Up to that point, there had been no indication that he was struggling — no regular updates or concerns raised, despite weekly sessions. As parents, we rely on timely feedback so we can step in and support our child early on, not at the last minute. What was even more disappointing was the tutor’s suggestion that the low score might be due to me using ChatGPT to help him — which seemed like an odd deflection rather than a professional evaluation of his learning needs. If there were genuine concerns about how he was completing his work, this should have been raised clearly and much earlier. We expected more from a 1-to-1 tuition arrangement. Communication with parents should be regular, transparent, and focused on helping the child improve — not just reactive when things go wrong.

Alas tutors are great. All the teachers there are lovely and kids do coursework all the time. My child improved a lot in Math (Y6). I am grateful that thanks to them, this had also positive impact on my child's SATS. Thank you everyone.

My daughter joined the ALAS TUTORS I am very happy for her progress in English she is doing well better after 3 sessions I got the 1 mount package that is £200 a month absolutely satisfied whit this tutoring center
