How they support every child

SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) works in partnership with key persons, parents, and other professionals to put in place targeted support to meet children's individual needs. Plans for learning include appropriate targets to help children achieve well. For example, they use strategies, such as visual clues, to help children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to make connections between words and objects, which supports their understanding about changes in the routine.

Outdoor space

Older toddlers use chalks to make marks on the ground outdoors, and children have fun outdoors. Staff use outdoor resources, such as the water tray, mud kitchen and playhouse, as props to read familiar stories and encourage children to recall and act out storylines.

My son has been doing here for over a year. Absolutely loves it. The teachers are great and so engaging with all the children. We get daily updates and pictures. Danny is moving up rooms soon but I wanted to mention Sophie and Ellie who he had been with for a year. Both have been fantastic and it’s been a joy watching him develop in this settling.

Excellent nursery!! My son absolutely loves going to baker street. He's always happy to go and happy when we pick him up. He has great bonds with staff who are all attentive and caring. A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the nursery were amazing with helping us through this. I can't fault this nursery at all the kids are at the heart of everything they do. Keep up the brilliant work and be super proud of yourselves!! X

My daughter is very happy at Baker Street Nursery. She has her favourite people, Leanne and Tilly. She always talks about them at home, and I myself love this nursery. I would recommend this place to anyone and especially to a new parent who wants to make sure they child is being looked after and kept safe. This is the right place to leave your child while you need to go back to work. Thank you to all the staff at Baker Street Nursery for keeping our little ones safe ❤️

We love Baker Street nursery, both of our children settled in straight away, Chloe and team make it such a happy fun environment for children and as parents we have always felt heard if ever we had concerns. We have been especially impressed with the SEND offering which has been great, we are always kept informed and included when the plan is being updated ensuring it meets our daughters needs and includes anything we feel she needs focusing on

Baker Street has been a fabulous place for my little girl. My girl always comes home happy and excited when I ask her about her day at nursery. I believe they truly nurture the children and are experts at knowing your child and how to deal with them when they are tricky. The handovers provided are always detailed and the girls are always a pleasure to speak to on drop off and pick ups. I haven’t got a bad word to say about this place and I think they did an excellent job at improving areas when they were asked to by Ofsted, meaning now they are rated “good” which I would say is fully true. My little girl has come on such a long way since attending Baker Street and is hitting milestones above her age, which I believe is because of the hard work the girls, especially her keyworker, put into her. Thank you for being a perfect fit for my little one ❤️
