Staff identify where extra support is needed for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and do this in a timely manner. This support is established right from when children start at the setting, based on information gathered from parents about what children already know and can do.
Children easily follow familiar routines at the setting. For instance, children come inside and wash their hands after playing outdoors.
My baby attends this nursery and has since he was 9 months and they are absolutely fantastic! The staff are so friendly and he loves going here. I have never had a second thought about leaving him. They are so flexible and have accommodated him on very short notice on a couple of occasions. I cannot recommend Bridge End Nursery enough
Read on GoogleI wish I could rate Bridge End so many more stars than 5! My little boy who has ASD has thrived being here. The girls at Bridge End helped me to get a diagnosis for my little boy when nobody listened to me and went well above and beyond for us. You can see how much the girls absolutely love the kids here and treat them like their own. I honestly couldn’t have picked a more amazing, loving nursery. Thank you so much for helping us the way you have already. My little boy has come on leaps and bounds thanks to you girls!! 💕
Read on GoogleMy son attended Bridge End a couple of days a week as a toddler , and then again later several mornings/afternoons a week in the Out of School Club. As a toddler, he was happy and well cared for. He was prepared for infants school and I never had a moment of trouble fitting nursery around my job. Our son attended a different out of school club when he started primary school. As he got older, it became apparent that he was struggling there, leading to him eventually being diagnosed with ASD. I was worried and stressed trying to attend full time university and placements, until we talked to Bridge End once more. Karena was so positive about ASD, and managed his transition superbly, along with all the fantastic and talented staff. Our family went from being a burden with a difficult child, to being a valued part of the Bridge End family. Our son thrived there; he still didn’t like being in school or childcare, but he thrived regardless. The structure, the routine and - most importantly - the communication they delivered for him instantly changed him. The plans they set up for him were perfect and his behaviour fell into line as he was no longer fighting against a system or people. He was no longer confused and unhappy. On top of this amazing and intuitive work, Bridge End continued to support me with their fair and flexible charges and sessions. I was never charged for more than I needed as long as I shared my needs as soon as possible. I successfully managed childcare, travel and university timetables, then work in constantly changing shift patterns. All a breeze, never made to feel awkward. Thanks to Bridge End, our son was coping brilliantly and I was able to focus. I felt like I could take on the world! In those few years, we had one single behavioural issue that I was needed for. The staff were on top of it immediately, because they know each child and all their social connections. It was a clash of personalities of two children with additional needs, and they managed it perfectly with the two children having a “managed conversation” which led to understanding and friendship. Bridge End didn’t overreact, they quickly and confidently steered him through. Looking back it was quite minor, but I had become so used to my son being treated like an alien since his ASD diagnosis, so threatened and excluded by his previous provider, that I was overwhelmed. The previous provider did not want to spend one penny on making our son comfortable, whereas Bridge End created a whole zone based on ASD research, putting his needs ahead of profit. There’s a lot of detail here, but I could never convey how grateful I am in less than 5,000 words. You need to trust your childcare provider with your most precious thing, and your own ability to work/study/earn is dependent on them. Having a child with additional needs can be tough; you need specialist support but you really just want to be treated like everyone else. Bridge End House Nursery will get to know you and your child - they’ll meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
