About this day nursery

Bright Eyes Nursery offers a nurturing childcare experience across three locations in mid-Cornwall, providing stimulating environments for children from birth up to eight years old. The nursery focuses on fostering individualised learning through play, incorporating elements of the Birth to 5 Matters framework and The Curiosity Approach.

Each setting is equipped with ample indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging exploration and discovery. The dedicated staff are committed to creating a supportive atmosphere where every child feels valued, enabling them to reach their full potential and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

The provision includes a day-care system with options for full days, as well as morning or afternoon sessions, and a holiday club. They provide a diverse range of activities, from messy play to forest and beach school outings, tailored to develop each child's strengths at their own pace.

Children benefit from a well-designed curriculum to support their communication and language development and develop good levels of independence from a young age. They have a positive attitude towards learning and enjoy exploring and experimenting.

Inspector highlights

  • Leaders have established a broad and interesting curriculum overall that responds to children's needs, supports their independence and prepares them for their move to school.
  • Staff monitor children's progress from their starting points and quickly identify any children who are at risk of falling behind in their development.
  • Staff have a very good knowledge of children's abilities and next steps in their learning.
  • Children have plenty of opportunities to develop their physical skills.
  • The manager spends time in each room and is attentive to the development needs of the nursery.

SEND provision

Children climb, balance and enjoy plenty of outdoor play in all weathers. Staff implement clear safety measures, indoors and outdoors, to ensure children are kept safe.
