About this day nursery

Bright Horizons operates a network of over 300 nurseries and preschools across the UK, offering childcare solutions with a strong emphasis on early development. Their approach, termed 'The Nurture Approach', integrates learning with emotional well-being, aiming to provide a supportive environment where children feel secure, loved, and encouraged to explore.

The curriculum, 'Bright Beginnings', focuses on five key learning areas, incorporating activities that foster practical and life skills. The nursery prioritises healthy eating with freshly prepared meals and caters to individual dietary needs.

They offer flexible settling-in sessions for children and parents to familiarise themselves with the nursery environment and staff, acknowledging that each child's adjustment period is unique. Bright Horizons also guides families on various childcare funding options available in the UK, aiming to alleviate financial concerns associated with childcare costs.

Our ethos

At Bright Horizons, children are supported at every moment by dedicated, skilled, and caring grown-ups, our nursery practitioners. The Nurture Approach™ is central to life at our Nurseries. What a wonderful place to bring your children to. My 1 year old attends this nursery and the staff are absolutely amazing. The staff treat all babies as their own and we get updated on all activities and food eaten throughout the day every single day. They always have new fun activities for the babies to do each day and such a large variety of food options no two days are the same. Eleanor Brookes who is my daughters keyworker is an absolute gem she is so patient with the babies and so kind, my daughter has such a special bond with her its so amazing to see. Thank you Eleanor and all staff. It's so nice not to worry about my child when she is with you all.

You have realised that your Early years administrator has wrongly refused to apply the early years funding to our fees, whether this was intentional or not, I can't say. Deadline to claim this funding was 4th of March 2025 as confirmed by the credit control team, Eligibility Code provided 2nd of February 2025. (Obtained August 2024) But instead of accepting that you were wrong and made amends you have turned to lying and bullying me into paying full fees, it is very shameful and not the type of culture you should encourage in your organisation, because sooner or later you will experience the same behaviour amongst yourselves. And there is a possibility that you have claimed the funds and lied about not claiming it, plus requesting I make full payment on top. That is fraud This matter will be investigated by an external agency.

My daughter seems to like spending day here, she is very excited in the morning to go to the nursery, and in the evening it might look like she does not want to leave :). Everyday we receive an update from staff on how was her day, and what she has been eating and playing. Overall we are very pleased, only suggestion is that more and more nurseries are switching to the digital reports and send pictures during the day to the parents, in this regard Asquith is still using old ink and paper, But it is just me being picky, very good nursery
