Many parents praised the staff and described them as going 'above and beyond' in their care of the children.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff work hard to understand every child's personal qualities and provide for these accordingly. Children who need extra help with their learning are supported particularly well. All children make good progress from their starting points and any gaps in their learning close quickly.

Outdoor space

A particularly good range of activities takes place outside, where children have opportunities to enjoy exploring nature, observe seasonal change and learn about the environment. Staff respond positively to children's interests, for example when two- and three-year-olds delight in splashing in puddles and collecting rain water in different containers. Children learn about safety as part of the nursery's curriculum and through their many outdoor learning experiences, such as using tools carefully.

Overall, we had a decent experience at this nursery. Several members of staff, including Sandy, Karen and Julie, showed our toddler so much care and affection, which we really appreciated as new parents. It was clear that she received a lot of love and attention during her time there. However, there were some downsides. We were disappointed that at 20 months old, our toddler remained in the baby room, sharing the space with much younger children, including 9-month-olds. In our view, this wasn’t ideal for her development or for the babies either. Bright Horizons was the first nursery we visited, and as new parents, we were simply grateful they had a place available for us at the time. That said, after later visiting other nurseries nearby such as N Family and Tiddly Winks, we felt their facilities, structure, curriculum, and overall learning environment were stronger. One even had an outstanding Ofsted rating, which gave us extra reassurance. Ultimately, we moved our toddler to another nursery, and it was the best decision we’ve made. I’d recommend visiting multiple nurseries if you have the opportunity. Seeing different options will give you a much better sense of what’s available and help you make a more informed choice, rather than just going with the first place that has space.

My little one started nursery middle of September at the age of 8 months, in a matter of days I saw my little one go from a shy, anti-social baby because of lockdown, to a vibrant, sociable and outgoing child. The team at Bright Horizons are absolutely phenomenal, the activities are incredible with my collection of artwork steadily growing. The huge garden is a massive bonus as my own garden is virtually non-existent. I would 100% recommend this nursery and have recommended them already to a few of my friends.

My little girl started at Royal earlswood March 2021 when I returned to work from maternity leave. She absolutely loves it and had no issues settling in. She gets so excited when I drop her off. We get a verbal and written hand over at the end of everyday as well as lots of art work which we love. The staff are really friendly and so caring towards to the children.

My son is currently in preschool and started the nursery when he was 10 months old. We have only positive things to say about the nursery and the staff, who are great and very supportive.
