Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day Nursery and Preschool is part of a large, experienced network of around 300 nurseries across the UK, dedicated to providing exceptional childcare. The nursery prides itself on nurturing children’s development through its unique Nurture Approach™, which integrates learning with emotional well-being.

This philosophy aims to support children in becoming healthy, happy, and confident individuals, fostering their potential from an early age. The curriculum, known as Bright Beginnings, focuses on five key learning areas, incorporating practical and life skills into engaging activities.

The nursery emphasises the importance of outdoor play, offering Forest School experiences and participation in the Eco-Schools programme to enhance children's development. Mealtimes are a significant part of the day, with freshly prepared food and careful management of allergies.

The nursery also provides dedicated support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). A strong emphasis is placed on smooth transitions for children and families, offering non-chargeable settling-in sessions up to six weeks before the start date to ensure children feel secure and form strong attachments with their key person.

This personalised approach aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every child's unique needs and routines are understood and accommodated, making their initial nursery experience as positive as possible.

What it's like to attend

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive consistent approaches to their care and learning, working alongside specialists.

Outdoor space

Younger children decide whether to play inside or outside and confidently transfer resources from one environment to the other. Babies freely explore their rooms and outside play areas, taking in the displays hanging from the ceiling that promote their interest in their play environment.

My son started nursery at Bright horizons from 9 month old until preschool. He really enjoyed and developed whilst his entire term. Management, teachers support staff were great in each phase from baby room, toddler, pre school and ready for school. I highly recommend Bright Horizons Swanscombe branch

Lovely teachers and staff, have their own kitchen and various dishes on menu throughout the week. Different outdoor play areas, lots of greens and nature. Spacious car park,. Nursery is using an App to keep you updated with activities, programs, dates and personal development of child, pictures. Great communication from reception about what's going on. felt safe to have our daughter there for her last year before reception. Staff takes brilliant care of children, respecting religious beliefs and happy to accomodate special requests. Would defo recommend for parents to have children there.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 6 months old, she’s now nearly 2 and it has been amazing! The staff made us feel at ease from the first day and that has continued throughout her time at the nursery. It blows me away just how many opportunities my child has at the nursery in both the indoor and outdoor environments. The nursery listens to the views of parents and even has a parent committee, the team are constantly looking for ideas to improve the service provided, they have added forest school, recently achieved their eco school status and are holding regular coffee sessions and workshop for parents to attend which is great for us to learn and network. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more if I tried! The children really are at the heart of everything this nursery does!

I’m super impressed with this nursery we moved to the area and my daughter has been attending the nursery and she has developed so much all the teachers are friendly and loving kind and the reception staff are always helpful. So happy we choose you ❤️

Amazing nursery!! It’s so hard to begin with as your trusting someone with the most precious thing in the world, but they make it so easy!! Made us feel so comfortable! My daughters key worker is Jess, and she really is the loveliest person, my little girl really adores her! Really pleased with it all!! Really secure too which is another factor out of the thousands that I love about this place
