How they support every child

SEND provision

The setting provides meaningful learning experiences that help all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), grow in confidence, independence and communication and language. The knowledgeable special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) sets high expectations and works proactively with staff to identify individual needs quickly, engaging with parents and putting strategies in place to support children. The SENDCo works closely with the local authority and other professionals to ensure children receive timely and effective support. Staff receive ongoing training, which strengthens their confidence in tailoring support and ensures consistency across the team.

Outdoor space

Staff provide a wide range of storybooks, indoors and outdoors, to support early literacy and language. Children use goggles when using hammers with ice outside. Regular visits to local green spaces further develop children's physical skills.

Our 3-year-old son M, absolutely loves this nursery, and so do we! From day one, the staff have been nothing short of amazing—so warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children’s happiness and development. Although the outdoor space is smaller than his previous nursery, it hasn’t made a bit of difference to M. He settled in so quickly and truly feels at home here. Every morning, he’s excited to go in, and he comes out full of smiles. We couldn’t be happier with the love and support he receives—it’s such a special place.

Bright Little Minds Childcare has just opened in Broadwater. My daughter had some settling in sessions before Christmas and this morning ran in with a huge smile on her face. This is down to the caring, friendly staff and the way they have made her feel at home from day one. They have created a stimulating learning environment for free play and it has a real family feel to it. There are quiet areas, outside space and plenty of messy play activities too. I’m excited to see my little one progress and flourish as she starts this exciting part of her life at pre-school for the first time!
