Staff at Bright Stars form warm relationships with the children, ensuring they are happy and settled, and children learn to make independent choices, playing collaboratively with a wide range of resources.
They develop an understanding of the world around them through practical experiences, such as watering vegetables and observing duck eggs hatching. The nursery is committed to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND); managers ensure staff receive regular training, enhancing their skills in areas like supporting speech difficulties and working in small groups to develop communication.
Staff liaise effectively with other professionals and provide extra sessions for children with additional funding to aid their return to nursery. Outdoor learning is a key part of the curriculum, with children enjoying the wider school grounds and natural outdoor spaces.
They develop confidence and agility on balance bikes, learning about safety and healthy habits, and explore mathematical concepts by counting steps and engaging with numbered tyres. Children also enjoy creative activities outdoors, such as using large chalks to draw roadways.

Children develop mathematical ideas outdoors as they ride around numbered tyres and count their steps as they play 'What's the time Mr Wolf'. Children enjoy using large chalks to draw roadways outside.
