Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff provide a nurturing environment where all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, can develop confidence, resilience and self-belief. They work directly with parents to put the right support in place to help close gaps in learning and ensure all children can progress. Leaders review evidence of children's progress to make informed decisions on additional funding, ensuring support is purposeful, and follow recommendations from external agencies to support children's targets.
While the outdoor area for babies is having a positive impact on their physical strength and movement, the outdoor learning for toddlers and pre-school children does not yet sufficiently meet their developmental levels or extend their physical abilities.
I never got to experience my child go to the nursery after doing settling in days and having a start date decided. I tried to amend the start date due to not realising the government funding would not be in place for a couple of weeks, after a few back and forth emails I agreed to let her start on the original date we have agreed on and pay private. However, I never received a email for confirmation back, despite emails after to prompt a response. Ringing and leaving several messages with the American operators, and voicemails. I even went up to the actual nursery after a week of no responses and assured someone would let me know today what's going on as she's meant to start tomorrow. Still nothing, Not even "I'm sorry but we can't do that start date anymore" or "we don't have the space to take your child right now".. just nothing... You can't ring and speak to anyone at the actual nursery even if your child is attending, just leave a request of call back or message a app. Which I find quiet un-easing, especially when I had left so many calls back to never be responded to. Thankfully I'm in a position I have someone who can look after my daughter when returning to work or I would have been left in a complete mess. A real shame that the higher management seems to be so poor communicating anything, when the actually workers looking after the children are so lovely.
