About this day nursery

Small Saints Pre-school, established in 1992 in Holbeach, operates year-round from Monday to Friday, closing only for one week between Christmas and New Year. During school term time, sessions run from 8:30 am to 6 pm, extending to 8 am to 6 pm during school holidays.

The pre-school caters to children aged 2 to 12 years and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted at its latest inspection on 25th October 2023. Children at Small Saints Pre-school benefit from consistent routines, fostering a sense of safety and confidence.

They demonstrate positive relationships with staff, keen to share their ideas, including those who speak English as an additional language. The curriculum includes learning how to care for animals, such as the pre-school's pet cats.

The outdoor space has been enhanced with a new forest area, where staff support children in developing physical skills and coordination, for example, by catching balls. For children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), the manager collaborates with parents to effectively utilise additional funding.

This funding is sometimes used to increase staffing, providing more one-to-one support tailored to individual needs. Staff also support children in developing independence by encouraging them to pour their own drinks and butter their own bread at snack time.

Just wow. The commitment, love, generosity and understanding of all the staff here is fantastic, They give their time to make sure our little people are not only cared for when we are working but correctly educate them and give them time and facilities to explore, (indoors and out doors) My son is an only child, but he loves going to small saints. This has given him the time to socialise afterschool with no added pressure and is a very reasonable price, given everything the staff do to engage with the all the children who attend. Highly recommend. And Thankyou, to you all for everything you have done over the last 4 years. Stress free childcare provided by the staff who love being there.
