Bus Stop Pre-School and Forest School offers a unique outdoor learning experience for children aged 18 months to 4 years within the picturesque grounds of the National Trust's Polesden Lacey Estate in Surrey. Children are encouraged to learn through playful exploration, risk-taking, and creative problem-solving across a dedicated woodland site, fostering independence, resilience, and critical thinking.
The curriculum follows a Forest School approach, integrated with the Learning Outside the Classroom methodology and the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive educational foundation. The pre-school emphasises a deep connection with nature, with children engaging in activities such as climbing trees, balancing on fallen logs, and observing wildlife.
Weekly woodland adventures and trips within the local community further enrich their understanding and appreciation of the natural world. The dedicated team focuses on promoting emotional well-being and physical skills through active outdoor participation, offering a wholesome and nurturing environment where children thrive in all weather conditions.

Staff build trusting bonds with children and place their emotional well-being at the heart of everything they do, which helps children feel safe and secure.
Fees are calculated termly and payable monthly based on a daily rate. The standard fee includes all meals, consumables, and activities. Funded children are charged a voluntary contribution fee per day to cover these extras, though certain funded sessions and alternative arrangements are exempt.
