Busy Bees Day Nursery at Daventry

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 2 years old. now she goes to school this year. She has been enjoying her time at nursery. Also, I am happy with her development. They organize various activities and photos are shared on parent zone. Plus each room has their own garden so children can get some sunshine every day.

My son has flown since starting at Busy Bees in Daventry. In September 2018, I moved my 3 years old son ( with Autim ) to Busy Bees in Daventry from another nursery where he had been full time since the age of 12 months. I was moving him due to concerns with the previous nursery, however I was worried about how he would deal with the change of setting. Busy Bees in Daventry was reassuring and supportive throughout the whole process. Since starting at Busy Bees in Daventry he has flown beyond my hopes. Within the first week he came home happier, noisier and more exhausted than he had ever been.The staff have listened and responded to us and they are always happy and bright - you can tell that there is a great working relationship between the staff in his room. Communication is regular, immediate, effective and professional; activities are varied and have really promoted my son's speech and understanding. The food is delicious, fresh and healthy. One week ago, I decide that is time for my little one (1 yes old) to attend the same nursery. Overall, this nursery is a caring environment where my sons are flourishing. I could not recommend it more.

Our son has been at this nursery a year since turning one and it is fabulous. He has great relationships with nursery staff, eats brilliantly and has fun all day. He is always happy to be going to nursery. Given the number of hours he is there during the week, I believe it is great value for money and an investment in his future.

2023 update: Despite all the promises we had from last year, bad management has led to have one more year where parents were asked to keep their children at least once a week at home, due to nursery staffing issues. This is an ongoing problem and since after Easter we are hostages of the nursery. Parents had a week's notice to arrange alternative childcare when the news were announced. The management knew what was coming but obviously did not pass what was the plan till the week before they decided to keep children off once a week . That is so unfair and unprofessional, as some parents don't have any help at all. The children are out of routine. The staff that cover ( who are brought from other nearby nurseries ) don't seem to show much interest to the children . I get the sense that they are there just for the day, without showing any care . I haven't moved my child yet as all his friends are still there. The nursery however has waived the notice period. Here are some suggestions to get more applicants in and improve the reputation of the nursery: Increase their pay, so staff won't be leaving . Financial bonus after 3 years of continuous employment , e.g. £2000. Increase the staff notice period from 2 weeks to 3 months. Decrease the children's number so you are within the ratio. I hope parents who wish their child to join busy bees Daventry to consider all the above before they make a decision. 2022: Busy bees daventry is a wonderful nursery , the staff are all amazing and my kid loves it. However we have been asked several times to keep our child at home even for a whole week, as they face staffing issues especially over holidays , which caused us problems with our jobs. I am sure if the management gives better pay and bonus to new staff they will get more applicants . So before you apply for your kid check if you are able to be asked to babysit. As for the nursery management , consider not taking new kids for 2022-2023 so you cover all the staffing issues you have.
