What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Children benefit from nutritious meals, and parents are very complimentary about the nursery.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The nursery's special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is very knowledgeable. She sets strategies, sharing them with the child's key person, to support individual children. On occasion, there is not enough support for the key persons to implement and fully understand the purpose of the strategies, as they are not always clear.

Outdoor space

Outdoors is particularly popular. Staff specifically plan and resource each area so children can independently explore. There are many opportunities to be physically active, and there is plenty of space for children to run around.

EAL / language support

Staff support children who speak English as an additional language by asking the parent to note key words in their home language.

Not recommended if your child has special needs such as speech delays. We went for a viewing and the staff said they have loads of space. They asked me if I have any concerns, I’ve mentioned that my son is speech delay, then suddenly the staff said that they will place my son on the waiting list instead and not sure if I’ll get the space. I didn’t bother to fill out the online form after the viewing. There are other nurseries in Ipswich that’s so much better.

Best nursery in Ipswich by far. Highly recommend. My son has been attending this nursery for two years and is about to start his third year. His development has been fantastic not just intellectually, but emotionally and physically. The staff take a great deal of pride and clearly love there work. They are passionate, caring and kind with both children and parents and this gives all parents peace of mind when leaving your child at the door. As a full time working mum I cannot thank the nursery enough for making the transition from maternity leave back to work so straight forward. The parent app is brilliant as there are regular updates and pictures to show what the children are doing. I highly recommend this nursery as my child loves coming here. Thank you Busy Bees for all you do.

Our son went there from September 2020 and was there for 2 years. One time on collection I was told by a member of staff that she hardly noticed he was there! I cried a lot that afternoon. My son was VERY shy and this place did nothing to help. He also had speech delays which the staff did nothing to help with. My favourite day was the day he left and went to a much better preschool that helped him beyond belief. Would never recommend this place. Felt that only one member of staff took any interest in him but due to room changes she wasn’t always there with him. Feel like all they wanted was our money.
