About this day nursery

The Willows Daycare, located in Ipswich, provides high-quality childcare for children from birth to 11 years old. 00 pm, 49 weeks a year, closing for two weeks over Christmas and one week during the summer half-term for staff training, as well as on bank holidays. The purpose-built facility is bright and spacious, featuring a large outdoor play area.

The day care is structured into three age-specific rooms: "The Nest" for infants up to two years, "The Seedlings" for two to three-year-olds, and "The Blossom Room" for three to five-year-olds. These rooms are designed to cater to developmental needs, offering stimulating resources and spaces for both active play and relaxation.

Activities and learning experiences are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, focusing on prime areas like communication, physical development, and personal/social/emotional growth, alongside specific areas such as literacy and mathematics. The nursery also provides an Out of School Club and Holiday Club for children aged 4-11, offering breakfast and after-school care during term time, and full-day care during school holidays.

The Willows Daycare is committed to providing nutritious food and has a full-time Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support children with additional needs. The nursery values strong partnerships with parents, offering trial sessions and maintaining open communication through key persons, newsletters, and parent evenings to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development.

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make sustained progress. Staff provide a wealth of support for children with SEND and complete robust support plans that involve all those in the children's learning, promoting an inclusive environment.

Outdoor space

Children flourish in the large outdoor learning environment, using authentic resources to investigate, showing resilience and engaging in imaginative play such as bus rides. Babies enjoy bouncing on trampolines and splashing in water play and develop physical skills outdoors.
