Inclusion & environment
Partnerships with other professionals are well established. Staff work collaboratively with external professionals and provide effective support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). For instance, staff follow recommendations and strategies suggested by speech and language therapists and local authority SEND specialists to develop children's communication skills.
Toddlers and pre-school children have very good opportunities to learn outdoors. They enjoy imaginative play, large construction and riding on wheeled toys. However, staff working with babies do not always plan their outdoor learning experiences to maximise babies' physical skills and exploration.
We’re really happy with the nursery and couldn’t be more pleased with the care and attention our child receives. The staff are wonderful kind, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s development. Our child is always happy and excited to go to nursery, which says a lot about the nursery.
Read on GoogleWe had all three of our children attend Carville nursery, over a period of five years, and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is a small independent setting, with a wonderfully caring and warm team, and low staff turnover. The baby room is very small, which really helps them settle in, and then there are separate toddler and pre school rooms. There is a gorgeous spacious and well equipped garden out the back. They have an on-site chef who prepares a very impressive and varied menu of foods from around the world, and can be flexible for dietary needs. They also spend a lot of time and effort preparing the older children for starting school, which is evident when that time arrives. They are open weekdays 08:30-18:30 and only really close for bank holidays and over the Christmas period. Our youngest child has just started school and we are so sad to leave Carville!
Read on GoogleWe have been with Carville for 4.5 year through 2 children from the baby room to the toddler and preschool rooms. The nursery and staff have always been welcoming, compassionate and supportive. Our boys have loved their time there and the bonds they have made with the staff. The preschool is excellent, in fact when our eldest left to go to reception, the school commented on the quality of Carville preschool compared to other nurseries. I miss not being able to go into the nursery and see the children playing and having fun inside like we used to do pre-pandemic but it's certainly made the children more independent leaving and meeting parents on the door. We couldn't recommend Carville enough and appreciate all the care they have shown our children.
Read on GoogleCarville have been like family to us for the past 5 years. The staff are all incredibly caring and attentive, and Joan, the owner, could not be more invested in the wellbeing and development of the children, sharing with us regular feedback on how they are getting on. Highly recommend the nursery, it’s been a true home from home for our boys.
Read on GoogleWe have loved our time with Carville. Both our children attended the nursery from baby room to preschool. Joan, Omar, Paul, Nikki, Moesha and Jennifer lead a caring and committed team and they have felt like family since day one. Their level of attention means both our children left well prepared for school. Thank you Carville.
