How they support every child

SEND provision

Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is good and is led and overseen by a knowledgeable special educational needs coordinator who does all she can to provide effective support for children and their families. Support for children who speak English as an additional language and children who find communicating more difficult, continues to be developed since the last inspection.

Outdoor space

Staff provide a stimulating curriculum with activities both indoors and outdoors for all children. Toddlers 'perform' songs on the outdoor stage and show much perseverance and resilience as they get straight back on their balance bicycle after falling off into a muddy puddle. The provider has researched the benefits of children sleeping outdoors in fresh air, and arrangements are in place for this if parents wish.

My son was very unsettled at first, being a real mummy’s boy, but the ladies at Charlie’s House were incredible! So warm, patient, and caring, they helped him settle in and he’s graduating gaining more and more confidence. He is always full of stories about what he’s been doing at nursery, lots of learning through play and I couldn’t be happier with the care and kindness they show every day.

My son has attended Charlie's House since he was 6 months old. He has had leg casts on and off, so his care changes. He is nearly 4 years old and will continue Full time at Charlie's House until September 2021. I cannot fault any of the staff, it's a home from home. The care is fantastic and the knowledge and Commitment from Kaz and all the team is just out of this world. When your child tells you he loves going to Charlie's House, you know they are doing something right! Loving caring people, my sons learning and speach has come on leaps and bounds Just brilliant, Kaz and the team should be so proud of what they do Natalie Xx

My son started attending Charlie's House when he was only 5 months old and he is now about to turn 4. He loves the setting and everyday when I pick him up he comes with a wide smile and wants to tell me what he has been up to with his friends at Charlie's. If I had another one I wouldn't think twice about where to take him. Charlie's and it's wonderful team is the right place.

My children started at 4 years and 10 months respectively. My now 6 year old loves the extra time she gets with her friends after school, it's like having a play date everyday. My now 2 year old gets upset on days we walk past and don't go in, she loves it that much! They both feel safe and secure there and their needs, including multiple allergies, are so well taken care of. They love the team and have a tonne of fun, especially in the amazing garden. It's a real family where everyone is valued and supported, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.
