About this day nursery

Chester Road Day Nursery provides a nurturing environment where children from birth to four years old thrive, having adapted well to changes following the pandemic. Established in 2004, the nursery operates year-round from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, closing only for one week at Christmas and bank holidays.

The nursery is praised for its strong provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with a dedicated SENDCo ensuring all children can access the curriculum and achieve a good start. Children benefit from a rich outdoor space where they develop physical skills, including babies who are encouraged to take controlled risks on a low-level climbing frame.

Absolutely amazing! Staff are brilliant! I had a very clingy 3 year old and put him in a different nursery initially, it didn't go well. Eventually we decided to try again and were very anxious. What a difference a good nursery makes to children. I now have a confident 4 year old who even stays over at his nanna's at night. The staff are caring and reassuring and make all the children feel welcome and special. Communication from staff and updates on what happened that day are regular and informative. The children are kept busy with planned educational activities as well as plenty of free play time. The outdoor space is brilliant and one of his favourite things to do. And the food must be good because now he eats everything instead of just things that are only beige! If you need a nursery this is definitely the 1 to use!
