Childcare Pathways, a childcare provider in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, has been operating since 2013 and caters to children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides targeted support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with speech and language teams and other professionals to ensure individual needs are met and children succeed alongside their peers.
This commitment extends to children who speak English as an additional language (EAL), who benefit from visual aids, staff narration of play, singing, and storytelling to enhance their communication and language skills. While safeguarding standards are met, the nursery is in the process of improving its curriculum due to inconsistent implementation, with leaders actively addressing these weaknesses.
Children enjoy a range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, where they can climb, balance, run, and even grow their own produce. Staff track children's progress effectively, fostering a confident and happy environment where children are encouraged to develop independence and pre-reading skills.
The nursery operates year-round, from 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, upholding the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted support from nursery staff, who are effective at identifying learning gaps and managing individual needs positively. Staff collaborate with speech and language teams, parents, and other professionals, utilising additional funding and personalised strategies, to ensure children with SEND receive specific support and succeed alongside their peers.
Children's physical development is promoted well. Children have opportunities to climb, balance and run freely outside. Additionally, children are learning how to grow their own produce.
Children who speak English as an additional language (EAL) have ample opportunities to develop their communication and language skills, supported by visual props and timetables. Staff narrate children's play appropriately, talk clearly and expose children to a variety of new words through conversation, singing and storytelling.
