Led by Managing Director Daniel Seemungal-Owen, the nursery group is dedicated to nurturing children aged 3 months to 5 years old.
Their mission centers on providing a daily experience filled with fun, wonder, challenge, opportunity, and growth. They embrace Montessori principles to foster curiosity and a lifelong love for discovery and exploration, aiming to develop happy, confident, capable, and resilient learners.
Our ethos
At Christopher Robin, our curriculum is built around offering your child a playful, nurturing and supportive learning environment that mirrors their interests and captures their fascinations. Our pedagogy, the way we teach and plan learning experiences, is built around our knowledge and experience of how children develop and learn, and we have chosen to follow the ethos of the Montessori approach to early years care and education because we firmly believe that it offers children the very best start in life.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator and other staff actively seek support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They support parents to get diagnoses and implement support plans to assist in closing gaps in learning.
Children enjoy using the outside area and share how they run, climb and play with their friends there. They explain that it is chilly as there was no sun, and that is why they had coats, hats and gloves on.
My daughter has been in the nursery since the baby room and is now in the oldest room. She absolutely loves her time at the nursery. She is very sociable and loves being able to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces. The nursery are great at spending lots of times outdoors, and loves being able to use the sand pit and toys outside in sunshine and also splash in puddles when its wet - enjoying all the seasons of nature. The staff are excellent and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. They have invested lots of time to really understand her and tailor activities and time to what helps nurture and develop her. The whole team work very well together and her transition to the older room has been seamless. Excellent nursery - we travel further than most to get here and do so because of how fantastic it is.
Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with our experience at Christopher Robin Day Nursery. From the moment you walk in, it feels incredibly homely and welcoming. The staff are not only friendly and professional but truly amazing — the attention they give to each child is incredible, and it’s clear how much they genuinely care. The children are so happy, settled, and confident, and that says everything. The thought and care that goes into the planning and daily activities is fantastic, and it really shows in how engaged and supported the children are. The manager is outstanding — so approachable, hands-on, and involved with the children. She knows every child individually, which makes such a difference and gives parents real peace of mind. Our child has been through all three rooms, and as parents we honestly couldn’t be happier with our choice. Seeing our child come home happy every day means the world to us, and knowing they are in the best possible hands is priceless. We would highly recommend Christopher Robin Day Nursery to any parent.
Read on GoogleMy son spent some very special years at Christopher Robin nursery and has made friends for life, even at such a young age. It's like a home from home; a wonderful nurturing environment, with a lovely varied range of activities and things to eat. The garden is such a hit with the children and it's great to know the children get fresh air nearly every day, as they would if they were at home with you. The staff also have a high level of qualifications and safe guarding is clearly of upmost importance. We had a simple and easy transition to school helped by the foundations and behaviours learnt at nursery.
Read on GoogleBooked a tour for this nursery and was extremely disappointed. When walking around the nursery we noticed the building was very old and tired looking. The skirting boards were stained and dirty and the bins were not clean which were inside the baby and pre school room. The nursery pricing is a lot higher compared to other nurseries in the area so we expected a much higher standard. The room which the babies slept in was cold and the blankets that were in the cots looked scruffy and old. The equipment such as table and chairs in the upstairs school area were stained, dirty looking and extremely worn. They looked like they had been there for years. The bin was also over flowing with paper towels. The food that the nursery provides is also not organic and bought in - no chef on site making the food fresh. On the tour I asked why the nursery fees were much higher than the other nurseries in the area and the manager’s response was ‘we have a lot of long standing staff members’. For the price of the nursery I expected the condition of the toys, tables, chairs to be a lot better along with the facilities of the nursery to be of better quality. It was also very concerning to be told that the Lego only gets cleaned once a week not every day. The price does not reflect the quality of this nursery.
