Clever Clogs Pre-school, led by Mrs. Jane Duboux since 1994, operates two sites in Essex, serving areas like Hawkwell and Hockley. The preschool caters to children aged two to five, aiming to foster their development and education within a community-focused, parent-involved setting.

They prioritise a safe, secure, and stimulating play-based learning environment, championing equal opportunities for all children and families. As a Trauma Perceptive setting, Clever Clogs emphasises emotional well-being through a culture of respect, support, compassion, kindness, hope, and connection.

They provide a tailored curriculum based on the Early Learning Goals, offering individual care with a high staff-to-child ratio and a key-person system to support each child and their family. The preschool encourages direct family involvement in activities and the child's progress, striving to create a happy and productive experience for every child.

Pricing & funding

Fees are billed monthly and must be paid within the first two weeks. A start-up fee is charged upon starting to cover materials, and lunch club is available as an optional extra. At the Hawkwell site, top-up fees apply to cover the funding shortfall over its forty-seven week opening period.
