Jelly Beans Montessori, established in 2004 by Sarah Drummond, offers an authentic Montessori education across three distinct settings in Hockley, Essex. Each setting maintains the core Montessori values of respect, independence, and a joyful approach to learning, while catering to different age groups and preferences.

The Nursery accommodates children aged 0-3, providing a nurturing environment focused on sensory exploration and language development. The Open Air setting, for children aged 2 and above, emphasises outdoor learning with activities like Forest School, fostering adventure and connection with nature.

Finally, the Pre-School at Plumberow Primary Academy, also for ages 2 and up, provides a cosy and homely atmosphere with free-flow indoor-outdoor learning, aiding in a smooth transition to primary school. All settings are rated OFSTED Good, and the Open Air setting is also Montessori Accredited.

The nursery operates 50 weeks a year, offering flexibility for working families. The curriculum is grounded in practical life skills, sensorial experiences, language development, hands-on mathematics, and cultural awareness to broaden children's understanding of the world.
