Countryside Day Nursery, nestled in 15 acres of picturesque rural landscape just a short drive from Gloucester, Tewkesbury, and Ledbury, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Housed in a beautifully restored red brick barn, the nursery provides extensive safe outdoor play areas, fields for nature walks, and opportunities for children to interact with animals and cultivate their own vegetable garden.

This idyllic setting, away from urban traffic, allows children to thrive in fresh air and natural surroundings. Established in 1992 by a parent, the nursery is committed to offering exceptional childcare, ensuring children are happy, engaged, and well-cared for.

The ethos is to create a sense of wellbeing for both children and parents, enabling parents to pursue their responsibilities with peace of mind. Children at Countryside Day Nursery engage in a variety of activities, including learning through play, growing and eating their own produce, making friends, enjoying picnics, and exploring the countryside, sometimes even by tractor.

The nursery aims to prepare children for school by fostering confidence and developing their skills in a supportive and fun atmosphere.

Children are happy and enjoy their time in this caring nursery. They benefit from an extended settling-in process and make good progress in their learning. Staff have high expectations and provide an engaging curriculum, helping children become confident and self-motivated learners.

Pricing & funding

Charges are billed year-round except during bank holidays and a one-week Christmas closure. Fees include all food, non-food consumables, trips, and enrichment activities. Funding is applied on a term-time basis over 38 weeks, with no option to stretch across the whole year.
