Little Oaks Nursery, nestled within Tirlebrook Primary School, offers a dynamic learning environment for three- and four-year-olds. Established in January 2018, the nursery is an integral part of the school's Early Years Foundation Stage, emphasising play-based learning in both indoor and outdoor settings.

" The curriculum is designed to foster communication, confidence, and resilience, preparing children for their transition to primary school. Led by Mrs. Lucy Knowles and overseen by Mrs. Francesca Reynolds, the dedicated nursery team encourages children to explore, enjoy new experiences, excel in their learning, and collaborate with peers.

Families have the option of on-site school meals and can utilise the school’s extended childcare services, including Breakfast Club and Tirlebrookers After School Club. A minimum attendance of four sessions per week is required for registered children.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities learn and develop very well. The special educational needs coordinator and key persons work in partnership with parents and other professionals to access additional support or funding to benefit the children's learning and development.

Outdoor space

Children have fun outdoors. Younger children practise their physical skills as they climb on crates or walk along the planks balanced on top of the tyres. Pre-school children visit the 'forest' area on the school site and staff help them manage risks and keep themselves safe.
