My daughter has recently started at The Croft, and although there was some miscommunication in the build up to her starting (I believe this is due to management/staff changes and not the fault of anyone currently at the nursery) she is settling in really well and I have been happy with the support provided by the team so far. The management/office team have been really helpful in supporting me with any issues or questions I have had. The staff in my daughter’s room have been really friendly, welcoming and have taken a real interest in getting to know my daughter/her current needs/routines and have been in regular communication with me regularly as she settles in which I really appreciate. There is always a warm welcome at the front door which, I believe, says a lot about the ethos of a setting. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the nursery and am confident that my daughter is being safely looked after and nurtured within her provision.

I would like to say a huge thank you to this nursery. A lot has happened over the past year, including some negativity, but I can honestly say that my experience has remained very positive. I have had two of my boys attend this nursery one has now moved on to school, and my youngest is still here. I have been part of this nursery for four years, and the positive turnaround I have seen under the new management, along with the dedicated team in place, has been incredible. Despite the challenges the nursery has faced, I am so glad I chose to keep my son here and witness how a difficult situation has been turned around in such an amazing way. My little boy absolutely loves it here and has come on in leaps and bounds. His development has been outstanding, and he comes home every day having learned something new, which is all thanks to the caring and committed staff. A huge thank you to Jade and Charlie, two of the most incredible staff members, and also a big thank you to the new management for everything they have done. Thank you to the Croft family for all your hard work and dedication.

My son absolutely loves nursery and is always so happy. The staff there are great with him, attentive, and seem genuinely invested in his wellbeing and development. It’s very reassuring how comfortable and settled he is within Baby Bears!

Manager doesn’t follow correct policies to safeguard the children and put them at further risk of harm when concerns were raised all because she couldn’t afford to loose staff members no matter how they treated the children. The wellbeing and safeguarding of the children should be the priority at a nursery but unfortunately this is not the case here. Go and search Croft day nursery Bexleyheath ofsted and there is news reports about safeguarding issues in 2024 that were “dealt with effectively” however these haven’t improved if anything have become worse. The manager knows exactly how to sweet talk parents so she’ll tell you what you want to hear to protect the business! So many good, longstanding staff members that the children and parents loved have left for these reasons stated therefore the children’s emotional needs are no longer being met due to inexperienced staff members replacing experienced ones - new staff don’t know the children or their needs as they just get chucked in the room and expected to be able to do/know everything even when they’ve never worked in early years before. The welfare of the children always needs to come first and the Croft is not doing that!

Our son absolutely loves it here. Such a smooth transition from being at home with us every day to the care of the nursery. The staff are incredible and we literally couldn’t fault the Croft in any way. Thank you!
