About this day nursery

Upland Little Explorers, part of Upland Primary School in Bexleyheath, offers early years education for children up to the September after they turn three, with a School Based Nursery accommodating three and four-year-olds. The nursery provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, focusing on developing children's active and creative minds through engaging learning opportunities.

Its educational philosophy aims to foster confident, lifelong learners who are creative, responsible, confident, and independent individuals. Upland Little Explorers is committed to guiding children to be safe, kind, reflective, democratic, and tolerant young people, emphasising the importance of making a positive difference in the world.

The school-based nursery has 26 available places and offers both 15-hour and 30-hour funded options, alongside self-funded places and wrap-around childcare. The institution works in partnership with parents, carers, and the local community to provide the best possible life chances for its children, celebrating their achievements and promoting a love of learning.

Pricing & funding

Charges are structured around weekly rates for self-funded places, with additional hours available on an hourly or weekly basis. Additional fees apply for daily or block-booked meals, voluntary consumables, and breakfast or afterschool clubs.
