About this day nursery

30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The nursery cares for children aged 1 to 10 years and was rated 'Good' by Ofsted at its latest inspection on 24th October 2022.

Children here have fun and quickly form strong connections with their key person and staff, creating a safe, secure, and positive environment for learning. Staff use effective strategies to support all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring good progress from their individual starting points.

Children enjoy a balanced curriculum of child-initiated play and adult-led activities, encouraging them to make independent choices and immerse themselves in their play. They are given opportunities to develop independence, such as serving their own lunch, and are encouraged to develop good communication and language skills through enthusiastic storytelling and engaging activities.

The nursery fosters an awareness of diversity by celebrating various festivals and cultures, including children's own backgrounds. Children have free-flow access to the garden and regular access to the forest area at the host school, promoting physical development as they navigate obstacles.

Although the indoor environment is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, the nursery is working to enhance the outdoor areas to provide equally rich learning experiences for children who prefer to play outside.
