Cuddles & Care Children's Day Nursery, part of the S & D Childcare group, is dedicated to fostering the happiness, growth, and well-being of every child as a family-centred community. Established in 2013 in Wells, this nursery is part of a larger network that has been providing childcare for over 13 years, caring for more than 300 families across the South West.

The nursery focuses on creating nurturing environments that are rooted in love and care, alongside a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. They aim to reduce their carbon footprint and embed sustainability into everyday learning, empowering children to understand and care for their environment.

From babies as young as three months to pre-school children, Cuddles & Care provides a high standard of care in a stimulating, safe, and inspiring setting. The manager and staff with responsibility for coordinating help for children with SEND work effectively to ensure children receive targeted support to meet their learning needs. Staff work in partnership with parents and with external agencies, to ensure that children make the best possible progress.

Outdoor space

Staff do not yet apply the same level of consideration to the planning and provision of activities outdoors.

Would rate higher if possible! Cuddles & Care have looked after my son since he was a baby, he has thrived. He is becoming the most kind, friendly, bright, well mannered and happy little boy and I credit a lot of that to his time at nursery. The staff are absolutely amazing, they support you in anyway they can and have always kept me well informed and updated. Brilliant nursery & will always sing their praise. 100% recommend.

Visited the nursery today, very warm welcome from the very first moment. Kimmy showed us around, very friendly and welcoming. All staff were so welcoming and chatty. Lovely nursery and great outdoor space. My child was happy to get down and play straight away!

My son has been attending cuddles and care since he was 9 months old, he absolutely loves going to nursery he is so excited every time we arrive at nursery and so happy when I come to pick him up and always has the best day. The staff are lovely and very approachable and happy to chat about his day and what he's been up to and the facilities are amazing. I highly recommend cuddles and care to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

Cuddles & Care is a wonderful nursery setting. My eldest started preschool there in May, and was incredibly nervous. The staff made her feel comfortable and happy from day 1. She always has a smile on her face and has learned so much since joining! I also have a baby there who adores his carers, he doesn't even look back when I hand him over. We get updates on what they're up tp regularly, its so lovely to see what they're up to and how happy they are there! I'd recommend to anyone looking for a childcare setting in Wells!

I absolutely love this nursery.... My daughter started there in march 2024 & did take a while to adjust to a new setting with new people etc but I cannot praise the staff enough for everything they've done to settle her in. She asks to go now, tells me she's excited to go, always has the best day there & I can see the development in her over the last few months. They provide a really safe, fun environment for her & the other children. I looked at a few nurseries before deciding on this one & it was because of the way the staff interacted & communicated with the children that sold it to me. I would recommend cuddles & care to anyone looking for a calm, fun environment for their children & again, can't thank the staff enough for everything they've done for my daughter.
