About this day nursery

Daisy Chain Day Care Nursery, nestled in Maldon, Essex, near the High Street and Maldon Prom, is dedicated to providing an enriching environment where children can flourish. The nursery prides itself on upholding top-tier educational and caregiving standards, fostering a setting where young minds are encouraged to grow.

With a curriculum built on the pillars of independence, resilience, curiosity, and valuing each child, Daisy Chain aims to equip children with the essential tools for future happiness and success. The pedagogy emphasises hands-on learning and experiential discovery, all while adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Parents are kept abreast of their child’s daily progress through the online EYlog system. The nursery operates from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks of the year, offering various session options and accommodating funded places.

They have immediate openings for eligible children, including funded sessions for those aged 9 months and above.

Our ethos

Our focus on curiosity sparks a lifelong love of learning, while ensuring every child feels valued helps them understand their importance within our nursery and our wider community. Join us in creating a warm, supportive environment where every child feels safe, confident, and able to thrive. We provide each child with the tools they need for future happiness and success. We follow the EYFS and use an online system EYlog which we use to update you on your child's day whilst they are here with us. My 2 children have been attending Daisy Chain for just over 6 months, and it is the most wonderful nursery. The staff are caring and attentive, and carry out so many enriching and fun activities with them. It is always lovely to see them bringing home things they have made and seeing that they are developing great skills in preparation for attending school. We receive regular updates on what they are achieving and how they are progressing. The nursery setting is fantastic, with a spacious garden and play area, and themed areas inside where children’s work is proudly displayed - it is really a wonderful place for them to be and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other parents looking for a caring, supportive environment for their children.

My children have been attending daisy chain for the last 3.5 years between them; starting as babies and now at, and heading towards primary school. I can’t praise the staff at daisy chain enough, it’s rare to find a setting that you can trust completely to look after your children to the highest level. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are so loving towards the children my girls have developed incredibly strong bonds with both staff and peers. The activities are enriching and fun, and they have prepared my girls for school in a way in which my eldest has thrived. Whenever anyone asks about a nursery daisy chain is always my top recommendation and I will genuinely be sad when my daughters are too old to attend (as will they!!)

My little girl has attended Daisy Chain since she was almost 1 & I cannot recommend the nursery more. The setting is welcoming, colourful & clean but more importantly the staff are friendly, loving & nurturing. It feels like a home from home environment, we’ve never had any issues arise & I can confidently say that the nursery has helped mould my little girl to who she is today. Her favourite things are playing in the garden, the ball pitt, discovering what’s on the tuff tray, the elephant freeze song (thanks 😅) & how could I not mention dance with Rachel on Wednesday’s ⭐️ She’s formed such a bond with the staff & her friends at Daisy Chain, we will be so sad to close this chapter later this year but more then confident about the next & starting school with all the help and care from everyone at the nursery. I cannot thank you all enough for everything - I would absolutely recommend sending your little ones here, they will thrive!

My little boy has thrived so much since being at this nursery. Starting in Seedlings and now doing amazing in Petals. The ladies are all lovely and he loves them all so much. Super excited to see his friends everyday that he goes.
