What it's like to attend

Children feel safe and secure and settle happily into routines. They enjoy their time in this inclusive nursery and make good progress, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Children develop lifelong skills, knowledge, and a strong sense of their Islamic faith, preparing them well for primary school.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Visual aids, such as sand timers and pictures, are used to prepare children for changes throughout the day, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring seamless transitions. Staff skillfully adapt daily routines and provide highly targeted support during one-to-one and small-group sessions, using pictorial aids where communication barriers exist. Leaders provide high levels of support and training for all staff, and the provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities is extremely effective, with staff making substantial strides in their provision for SEND since the last inspection.

Outdoor space

Children have ample opportunities to develop confidence in their physical skills as they use the climbing dome and balance on tyres. They also enjoy working cooperatively to manoeuvre the see-saw safely and racing on wheeled toys, developing their gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language hear words in their home language alongside English, which explicitly builds on their communication skills.
