What it's like to attend

Children are happy and busy throughout the day. They grow in confidence and independence through well-planned and motivating activities indoors and out. Staff have high expectations for all children's behaviour and emotional development, and they provided strong support for children who were absent during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, helping them settle smoothly on their return.

Inspector highlights

  • Children are introduced to many songs and rhymes and eagerly join in with repeated phrases and rhyming words.
  • The manager provides strong leadership and is supported well by senior staff and trustees.
  • Staff help children acquire skills for future learning, including a successful start to school, and accurately review their achievements.
  • Staff are kind and gentle role models, warmly praising children and valuing their ideas and achievements.
