The Meadows Nursery, situated in Sheffield, operates as a pioneering partnership between Sheffield Hallam University, Watercliffe Meadow Primary School, Sheffield City Council, and Save the Children UK. The nursery prides itself on offering exceptional provision for up to 20 two-year-olds in North Sheffield, creating a nurturing and joyful atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and cultivate their individual strengths and abilities. The staff are committed to providing a supportive, 'home from home' environment, prioritising each child's development.
Located within the Meadows Children's Centre on Shirecliffe Road, the nursery offers term-time care for children aged between 2 and 4 years. Its facilities boast newly refurbished indoor and outdoor spaces, designed to be safe and stimulating, providing ample opportunities for sensory play, role-playing, and messy activities that foster imagination, creativity, and active learning.

SEND provision
Staff are skilled at identifying children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They are quick to make appropriate referrals to ensure that children receive the support that they require. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Outdoor space
Children engage in a wide variety of exciting activities, inside and outdoors. The environment has been planned with children's needs and interests in mind. For example, staff purchased low-rise equipment to enable children to work on their balance, core strength and negotiating different heights.
