Inclusion & environment
Staff working with the babies and pre-school children do not provide clear messages to help all children, including those with special educational needs and/ or disabilities, understand expectations. Staff identify children who may need extra help and work in partnership with parents and other professionals to support children's development.
Pre-school children have their own separate building and outdoor area. Outdoors, children explore the trees, planks and tyres, practising climbing, building obstacle courses, managing risks and developing physical skills. Mud kitchens let children be messy and imaginative.
Some specifics on why were so happy with little trees Hucclecote. For context we put in our girls last year when they were 1 and 3 years old. 1) Absolutely love their location and space. The fact their driveway has an enter and exit bit makes it more convenient and safe. And that there is a separate little building for pre school kids is so good for our older one. The large back garden play area is so nice for running around and playing! 2) The staff are just so friendly and warm but more than that they are absolutely on top of things we care about as parents. They have an app that sends us updates from photos to what they ate and naps and potties/diapers. They also make sure to tell us how their days were when we do pick up. One time our younger had a minor accident and they promptly filled out a report to let us know. 3) The extra bits the school offers is just so nice. From little things like Christmas carols, Chinese new year dragon dance to Diwali, the exposure to a variety of things makes daily life so exciting. One time, a class was very small like 3-4 kids that day, we were informed they went on a little wagon and went to a nearby church to see Christmas lights and the nativity was was so nice to just do something different! Granted most schools are good and in compliance. After visiting about 5, we found little trees Hucclecote to go above and beyond! From their work ethic to warm-ness to us as parents and more significantly to our kids, make little trees the absolute best one. Highly highly recommend !
Read on GoogleMy son was born at 26 weeks and as a result, is very vulnerable to winter germs and viral infections. All the staff at Little Trees take this very seriously and go out of their way to protect him as best as they can when the usual nursery germs are doing the rounds. Before joining Little Trees my son was sensitive to loud noises, found public settings overwhelming and was not confident playing in groups. He has really come into his own since attending Little Trees. I have noticed a huge difference in him at home and whilst in a public setting. As a mother of a vulnerable baby, I had a lot of worries about leaving him in someone else's care whilst I went back to work. The Staff made me feel at ease very quickly and have shown how much they truly care for the children they look after. I really am grateful for all the staff at Little Trees and in my opinion every member deserves a 5* review.
Read on GoogleThe nursery was great when we first enrolled our child before lockdown. But they have dealt with covid poorly, leaving children vulnerable to extended periods of isolation, and then charging full fees for isolation days. With the current setup it is very possible that your child might be able to only attend 1 or 2 days a month, and you will be paying for that entire month. Additionally, management has recently changed, and staffing has drastically reduced. Recently, they had to send children home because they did not have enough staff (not covid related). Currently a lot of young and new staff which regularly change. I would recommend you stay away until these issues are resolved.
Read on GoogleIgnore the previous 1 star review. All nurseries struggled during COVID! These guys are amazing. We've had our kids in 3 local nurseries, and the energy, dedication and motivation this team give to our children is second to none.
