Deux Chats Pre-School Limited, established in 1998, operates from Monday to Thursday, 9am to 2:30pm, and on Fridays, 9am to 3pm, during school terms. This childcare setting welcomes children aged 2 to 4 years.

The pre-school received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 15th June 2023. Children are warmly welcomed and quickly settle, demonstrating independence and confidence as they explore a variety of resources both indoors and outdoors.

They engage in sensory activities like sand and water play, and use their imaginations to create with play dough. The staff foster high expectations for all children, who respond positively, follow routines, and understand boundaries.

Children with English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted support. Staff collaborate with other professionals to plan for children with SEND, ensuring that all children, including those receiving additional funding, make good progress.

Outdoor learning is a key feature, with children enjoying bug hunting using photos for identification and searching for minibeasts in dark and damp places, which supports their natural curiosity. The inspector observed the quality of teaching during both indoor and outdoor play.

Parents have expressed positive feedback about the pre-school, feeling well-informed and confident to seek support and advice. They also agree that their children are making good progress.

SEND provision

By far the best nursery in Aldershot. I was so nervous to put my son into nursery but I’m so glad I did. I have never had any problems or complaints to make and every single staff member is so kind, friendly and understanding. My son learnt so much, had lots of fun every day and his confidence became stronger. I am devastated he’s now going to big school and leaving but I’m so blessed to have my child be a part of Deux Chats. Thankyou to everyone at Deux Chats
