Staff cultivate a calm, welcoming, and well-organised environment, ensuring each child is treated as a unique individual and their family backgrounds, cultures, and traditions are embedded into the provision.

This approach helps children feel safe and secure, and they consistently demonstrate enjoyment during their time at the day nursery. For example, babies enthusiastically unwrap sealed paper to reveal hidden objects, contributing to their developing speech and language, while older children proudly share their family link books, discussing their drawings and family photographs.

The nursery also prioritises Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision; staff collaborate closely with the special educational needs coordinator and other professionals to swiftly identify developmental concerns and ensure early intervention, leading to good progress for all children, including those with SEND. Outdoor learning is also a key feature, with pre-school children excitedly hunting for bugs outside, matching their finds to pictures and eagerly marking them off on their clipboards.

At Tiny Tots, rated Good by Ofsted (March 2023), we offer a welcoming community environment, providing the best opportunities and experiences for children aged 3 months to 4 years to grow, learn and develop. Our children take part in a wide variety of activities which support their development through the seven areas of the EYFS curriculum. A broad range of activities are on offer each day with resources for children to explore and expand their natural curiosity and learn through play. We promote a culture where we empathise and support children’s feelings, giving them the confidence to express and communicate their emotions. We firmly believe in equality and inclusion and work closely with parents and the local community to offer each child and their families care and support.
