Dracup Lodge Day Nursery, operating since 2014 in Bradford, provides high-quality childcare for children aged 1 to 4 years. The nursery fosters a calm and purposeful environment where children feel secure, supported, and ready to learn.

Leaders at Dracup Lodge are dedicated to creating an inclusive culture, ensuring every child is valued and makes secure progress. They thoughtfully plan the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, placing a strong emphasis on physical, personal, social, and emotional development.

Staff expertly adapt their support to meet individual needs, including those of disadvantaged children and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with external professionals like speech and language therapists. Children are encouraged to explore with curiosity, developing independence and social skills through engaging activities both indoors and outdoors, such as collaborative play involving rainwater.

The nursery prioritises strong relationships and a sense of belonging, ensuring children thrive and are well-prepared for their next steps in education. Operating all year round from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Dracup Lodge Day Nursery focuses on building confidence, positive attitudes to learning, and a love of reading in all its young learners.

What it's like

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), spend their day in a calm, purposeful environment where they feel safe and well cared for. Staff understand each child's needs and respond quickly. Activities are adjusted instantly so every child, including children with SEND or who may face additional barriers, remains challenged and successful.
