About this day nursery

00am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, except for public holidays and a week at Christmas. Serving children from 1 to 11 years, the nursery provides a good standard of care and education, as evidenced by its latest Ofsted inspection on 29th April 2025.

The curriculum is thoughtfully planned, with staff considering each child's individual interests and developmental stage. They use effective assessment methods to ensure children are well-prepared for their next steps in learning.

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are supported to make good progress. Leaders and staff at Dradishaw House Day Nursery Partnership work collaboratively with parents and other professionals, utilising funding effectively to provide targeted support and resources.

The nursery fosters positive behaviour and attitudes, with staff acting as good role models. Children are encouraged in their personal and social development, including emotional literacy, through age-appropriate activities and visual prompts.

Physical activity is a key part of the day, with a range of indoor and outdoor opportunities. Toddlers enjoy climbing, sliding, and using wheeled toys outdoors, always with staff support.

Sensory exploration is also encouraged, with babies engaging with different textures and materials for play.

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning and development. Leaders and staff work in close partnership with parents to help ensure that children receive the targeted support that they need. They also work competently with other professionals and use funding well to help secure the services and resources that help children reach their potential.

Outdoor space

Toddlers climb the steps and go down the slide outdoors with staff close by for support. They use wheeled toys that they push along with their feet and manoeuvre around their friends. Staff provide a range of activities for children to be physically active indoors and outdoors, and all children enjoy outdoor play.

We moved our little boy to Dradishaw after a bad experience at another local nursery. I was very worried that he would not settle well as he had been attending the other nursery for a long time. Dradishaw were fantastic at helping my boy to settle, in particular Melissa who is my little boys key worker. My boy is very happy here. He loves his key worker and has quickly made friends at the nursery. I am so very glad that I moved him, it was a hard decision to make but defiantly the right one. Thank you for taking such good care of my little boy Dradishaw, and thank you for letting him develop at his own pace.
