Early Birds - Carter Lane Neighbourhood Nursery provides a nurturing environment for children aged 12 weeks up to 8 years. The nursery focuses on fostering secure, confident, and independent children through diverse indoor and outdoor activities that promote all aspects of child development.
With a team of qualified and dedicated staff, the nursery upholds a non-discriminatory policy, embracing children and staff regardless of ethnicity, religion, ability, or gender. They also have a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support children with additional requirements.
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved, and each child is assigned a key worker who regularly updates their development records. The nursery offers flexible sessions, including full days, half days, after-school care, and holiday clubs, alongside comprehensive support for funded childcare options.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator works closely with children, parents, staff and other professionals to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) can make the best possible progress. Staff are quick to identify children's specific needs and create action plans, providing a learning environment that meets their needs. Outcomes for children with SEND are good.
Children run around the playground with their friends, engrossed in pretend play. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
